Radio and gauge dims hitting breaks

Hello I have a 2015 toyota Tacoma crew cab, Notice my radio and mileage Gauge dims when I apply the breaks . I have changed bulbs back to the stock still have the issue and when I turn lights my Abs and other light light up on dash. It comes and goes. I have YouTube the issues can’t find the problem. Been told it’s the headlight switch and cluster. Any tips on what’s causing this?

Sounds like you either have an issue with one of your tail light assemblies or a bad ground to one of them causing power to backfeed.

 

Could it be the Curt wiring harness? I have notice also my blinkers works half the time now if I hold my breaks then use blinker it works with no issue. And when I turn in my headlights switch someone ABS lights come on but I turn everything off then crank back on it off I’m at a lost thinking it has something to do with the Curt wiring harness

 

Start simple. Clean and tighten the grounds. Bad grounds can cause some strange effects.

 

if you have the 4 pin plug for trailer lights.

Those evil converter boxes cause many light problems .

 

Ok I have fix the dimming on the radio but today I couldn’t get it out of gear. I have replace the brake light switch now only goes into gear with the lights on. I’m lost

 

I have fix the issue. It was trailer lights, the box was extremely warm I haven’t use them in a while. I unplug instant after replacing couple fuses.
