You need to take it to the dealer. They will swap it out.

I took mine in today for its first service. My only complaint regarding the truck thus far was your complaint regarding the stereo. They read an error code and ordered a new stereo for me. Should take a couple of weeks to get in. I'd recommend you do the same....

Thanks... so my truck is a 2010 and only has 25K miles.
So you think the dealer will replace the radio at no cost to me?
    That would sure be nice.

Geez the 2010's do it as well... I would have thought they would have fixed it after the '09 models.

I use to have a few problems with the stock '09 unit. Now the only problem I have with it, is the backlight goes out. Tap it a few times and it works.

Some day I will just get an aftermarket setup since the sound quality is junk and the speakers are crap on a stick.

I was thinking about aftermarket too.
I have a BestBuy close to me, where they would install. I would not want to do myself.
Guess truck would need a new bezel? and radio would be double DIN?
Any links where I could see any other members Radio Builds?
    Thanks to all..

You can go single or double din. If you go single you get a little cubby hole. There are basically two companies that make the bezel things. One has better fit than the other but I dont recall the names of either.

Aftermarket is a good way to go but definitely get the OEM unit swapped out for a properly working unit. You're under warranty so it is no cost to you and if you do go aftermarket you could sell your OEM or return your truck back to stock if you decide to get rid of it.

I changed to FM 2 and added the station, it is OK there. I think the channel marker looses it locked setting?

First my cd changer got jammed and left me with only a working radio, and now the radio turns on and off on its own. I havnt had the times or funds to fix it yet. Im just gonna get whatever is on sale at walmart , it might not be top of the line but at least ill have a cd player that works and a radio that is not possessed.
