For the first time ever I cranked my truck to drive home tonight and the radio powers down re starts and does this constantly all the way home. 33 miles. The nav also has me in the wrong location moving the wrong direction , it must of restarted 100 times any ideas. This will drive you crazy. It’s a 2017 trd pro with 65k

Do you have an iPhone 11? It can cause the system to spontaneously reset.

Ok messed with this today. Tried all kinds of scenarios and the outcome is it only happens with my wife’s IPhone 8+ and it just had a update to her phone. It has never did this before. The update she just did is
iOS 13.2.3 includes bug fixes and improvements for your iPhone. This update:

    • Fixes an issue where system search and search within Mail, Files, and Notes might not work
    • Addresses an issue where photos, links, and other attachments might not display in the Messages details view
    • Fixes an issue that could prevent apps from downloading content in the background
    • Resolves issues that may prevent Mail from fetching new messages, and fail to include and quote original message content in Exchange accounts
I have a 8+ also but have yet to do the update and everything works fine with my phone. I tried it numerous times.

Wifes truck has done this since brand new. She had a 7+, and even went and got an 11 to try fix. Radio has most updated software. Really a bummer to have a 40k teuck and the radio doesnt work.

It's the iPhone, not the truck.

Have you tried forgetting both devices from the head unit, bluetooth on your phone and then re-adding them? I have an iPhone 11 Pro Max without any problems, I can test to see if my wife's 8+ encounters the same. We are both running iOS 13.2.3.

I had to totally delete the iPhone info from Entune 2 times, before mine worked fine again. Been great since.

I took mine to the dealership when this started a couple days ago. They said it was the latest iPhone update and to wait for a software update from either Apple or Entune to fix it

I wouldn't shit on Toyota/Entune too much for this. The more complicated these systems become, the more you'll start to see the same kinds of ordinary problems that you'd see on your laptop. These are just normal computer problems that will follow us wherever we put computers. Software is hard to test, and the iterations of all the various devices that could possibly interact with each other is nearly unlimited, so this kind of thing will happen a lot more. Get used to the fact that debugging software issues is just going to be a normal part of auto maintenance...

As annoying as it is, I don't fault Entune for this at all. Could very well be apples fault for not sharing their update with them properly. But, I will shit on Entune because Entune just sucks in general lol
