Oh wait. Forgot the audience here. I meant to say that I ignore the OEM recommended oil change intervals that are based on hundreds of thousands of data points and instead do it based on my own judgement. So this was actually my tenth oil change because I change it every 1k miles because it’s “cheap insurance” and you can never be too conservative when it comes to oil changes.

 

We have had this same problem on our 3rd gen Tundras and this looks like exactly the same POS knob. I designed some replacement knobs, reinforcements for knobs that are still intact, and a part to repair a broken knob for 3D printing. Files here:

How's it fit? I just designed a plain-jane knob for the 14" screen and it's over on Thingiverse too. It works fine.

Don't know....I am too chicken to remove mine. Not to mention I printed it in rainbow filament. My sales guy told me his Tundra knob broke and a replacement was only about $8. I might order a spare next time I near the dealer. I like how the OEM one lights up.
