not sure but on mine, its the opposite. i got an alarm (clifford alarm) and if i have the key in the ignition and turn it to ACC or ON then take the key right out my radio will stay on till i shut the door.

what u want is something all the new gms do. I think it would be a bit more difficult than just "hooking up a wire". Actually the more i think about it you cant do it. On the gms its done all though a computerized system, it would be impossible to do it with just relays and diodes and such.

Fords do it, too. My parents have a base-model 2006 F250 that does that. Freaked me out a little the first time I took the key out and the radio wouldn't quit.

It would NOT be impossible to "just" do it through relays and stuff. If you're really that interested in having a radio on till door open, you're going to have to get creative.

You'll need signal from the door pin, and probably IGN1 and +12v off the main harness. Then run something like a 5 wire cut to turn off the power circuit to the radio when the door is opened and the pin grounds out. Its complex, but by no means is it impossible.

If anything I said in that paragraph confuses you, do not attempt it. I've been thinking about this same mod, but I've got 8 years of automotive electrical experience.... If/when I do this I'll make a nice write up
