Possible to provide a link? I cannot find this

*edit* if this was the OS update that killed off Pandora (grumble grumble), then yes I did that one.

Okay, followed those directions, put it on a USB, plugged it in, started up the truck, went to the update page, and no option to update, so my truck must have the latest...

No, it’s not detecting it because you haven’t formatted your usb to fat32, just like with music, Toyota requires fat32 format.
HU should still detect the update, wether or not you have the latest software

No, pretty much all USB flash drives are FAT32 format, and yes, I just checked, this one is formatted in FAT32 as well.

I stand corrected, but the drives I buy are always ntfs format. Anyway, sucks that isn’t the fix

Mine has only done this once. I called my service advisor and she said there wasn't a fix yet, but would call me once one came out.

Mine is doing it almost every time I shut off the truck. Reboots and A/C and makes the truck not lock until I start it up and stop it again. Annoying AF.

Anyone have this issue and it is basically like the truck restarts and resets the radio and the dash (aka turns on traction ctrl again).

Seems to happen when my driverside rear takes a sharp drop/bump. Also only seems to happen in DEath valley.

Truck works fine I just came
Out of the valley and it did it probably every 40 mins of driving on the washbords. Wondering if its a loose ground or something that is common btw the dash and stereo but doesn’t shut the truck down.

Ironic as earlier today I had updated a thread I started on my HU rebooting. The latest software update seemed to cure the issue, just FYI.

After a several hundred mile road trip between xmas / new year and having my radio reboot (consistently at some points), and following that, my entire gauge cluster, my car not arming unless I turned it on / off again, and FINALLY a CEL, I took it to the stealership today for diagnostics. They pulled two codes: P2610 & P0116. they don't have time to fix it today (because yea, new years) but set me up with a complimentary loaner, and likely are going to have to swap out the gauge cluster.

They said the radio rebooting was a software issue, that I wouldn't have been able to upgrade without their special diag tools. Go figure.

@APynckel I have the same issue as this. What did they end up having to do? I am out of warranty and going to the dealer tomorrow, but pulled the codes today. Just wanted to see what I should expect

Well we will have to see what happens tomorrow. The radio on and off etc was reported a couple time pre-being out of warranty, so hopefully they replace it and call it a day.

So before I took it in I was checking the oil and noticed that the battery hold down had become loose and there was some terminal corrosion. I cleaned the battery terminals and tightened the battery hold down. This seems to have corrected the issues I was having. 200mi and not issues so far.

This just started happening to me on my way to work this morning. 2019 Tacoma only had for a week. California, yes it is raining. Don’t use gps through the vehicle, only listening to news on radio. Did notice that the signal bars in the top corner of my LCD screen only showed one or two bars. I’ll give the dealership a call to see what they say, and will check in here to learn what others learn during their scheduled service appointments.
