Started having issues with my 21 tacoma radio yesterday where it would keep restarting. They updated the software at the dealership and it’s now worse. They said they’ll just replace the radio. Still under warranty for 20 more days.

How does the truck start? Does it seem weak? Reason I ask is because I've seen that happen when the battery is weak and ready to die.

Truck starts good so far. But I’ll take it by autozone today to make sure it’s good

Radio is pooched. I’ve worked at Toyota for 12 years and nothing fixes this. Glad it has warranty.

Request they update the new radio once it’s installed.

I have the same problem, but not as bad. It happens once a month or so. The dealer basically said "Does it work when it restarts? Then it is not broken". Not worth the fight for me, but it is an annoyance. Your issue sounds worse than mine.

Unlikely your problem, but do you have a USB cable plugged in (for CarPlay/Android Auto)? Could be pinched or frayed somewhere causing goofy signals to make it to the radio and crash it.

Glad you’re getting the radio replaced under warranty.

    LS1 swap with nitros.
Amen you are still in the warranty period! Let them replace it and you should be good as new.
