RADIO SATELITAL SIRIUS XM

hola tengo tacoma 2023 comprada en mexico , mi radio actual no viene con la aplicación SiriusXM sin embargo si viene con la leyenda de SiriusXM al frente del radio, saque el radio y note que viene con el orificio para instalar la antena de GPS, mi duda es la siguiente si compro la antena de GPS y la conecto al radio ya tendré el servicio (primero darme de alta en siriusxm obvio), o tengo que tener el software o aplicación en el radio ya que no me aparece y donde puedo actualizar o bajar esa aplicación al radio ayuda!!! por favor

Have you hit the mode button? It should scroll through Am, Fm, bluetooth and Siruis XM. I don't believe the head unit uses an "app".

Go to a shop in Mexico that installs radios. They should be able to "hook you up". I had my Sirius unit installed in my Tacoma at Best Buy. OR, install the Sirius app on your phone and have a auxiliary line set up to your Tacoma's radio?

 

Para su información: Sirius no es gratuito y no existe una forma de cargar individualmente esta aplicación en su radio.

 

It is branded Sirius though. I would think you could just add the antenna and it would be there. That or you might need the Toyota app to update it? I thought if you were connected to it with your phone you could add more apps on it? I remember seeing a few different radio app when I had mine installed.

 

Unrelated but I thought they didn't sell the Tacoma in Mexico. I thought the US and Canada were the only markets and that Mexico got the Hilux instead.

 

I believe both the Hilux and Tacoma are available in Mexico.

interesting... and from what I've seen with EU market Hiluxes, they're nice but def more utilitarian. I see that that is reflected in the price of both on the website you sent.
