Radio Static When my headlights are on?

So I've done some research, Found out that some LED headlights cause static through your stereo when they are turned on. I've had my led headlights/fog lights/day time running lights with my current set up (kenwood head unit, alpine amp, jbl club door speakers) for about 2 months now. And all of a sudden today on the way home, (I have an '08, but I turn the running lights, or parking lights on all the time) I started receiving static through my stereo. Whats even weirder is when I gave it gas, the static mimicked the throttle input. Any idea's?

I swear this all started when I rerouted my rca cables under the seat carpet......

 

remove LED headlights, see if it goes away

 

I'll try it. But it still doesn't make sense to me why It would all of a sudden start happening.

 

could be a manufacturing defect of some kind... maybe some sort of shielding failed? who knows.. I would start there though as they're easy enough to pop in/out. Heck, if it stops, put one bulb in at a time, swap them, see what makes the noise come back. Might just be one bulb.

 

what happens if you reroute the cables back?

maybe you have one that's loose

 

This same thing happened to me in my old Saab and an alpine amp/ headunit (at least the static and weird whine tied into the throttle- I never had led headlights). It also just started happening one day (wasn’t happening and then all of a sudden boom static) I tried things like in- line noise reducers, rerouting the cables and shielding cables. Nothing worked. Ended up running a power line for the headunit directly from the battery- that solved it. Hope this helps.

Could be a weak ground somewhere in the audio system, typically when static is picked up and RPM related there's interference coming from the ignition coils.

 

It's probably a loose ground

Well it was my running lights. One of them was flickering so I took it out and boom no static, but when I took out the bad on, the good one stopped working. Now I can't get either of them to work. What fuse did I blow? I tried using the leds again, nothing, put the stock bulbs back and again nothing.

 

Sorry, is the side bulb, what ever the second bulb besides the headlight is in the headlight assembly

 

its definitely the LEDs,i put in a high priced PIAA LED Fog lights and had the same issue with weaker FM stations,

Nope, besides the occasional gravel road I can't afford to break parts and offroad her

 

Would I have blown a fuse pulling out a bulb while the running lights were on? The right side was flickering so while the lights were on I took out the bad bulb and the other side stopped working. I checked all 10 amp fuses labeled "head" and they were all fine. Hopefully I didn't mess up my side lights

 

The park light bulbs are fed off the 10A tail fuse.

Weird, the tail lights still work though. I'l check it out at lunch break.
