I have a 2016 Tacoma SR5, radio and speakers are stock and have never been messed with.

A few months ago my music started cutting out randomly. Sometimes I would just lower the volume to a few bars and it would come back on but if I increased volume past halfway it would immediately cut out again.

I managed for a while but it slowly kept getting more sensitive and now it’s pretty much completely stopped playing even at low volume.

In the last 2 months, only twice has it randomly started playing at low volume and it lasts for maybe a few minutes before completely cutting out again.

The head unit seems to be working fine. It shows that the music is playing and the volume bar works as it should. Just not getting any sound whether connected by Bluetooth or using radio.

I’ve been reluctant to take it to a dealer or audio shop because I feel like it’s a simple fix and don’t want the run around just so they can sell me a new radio or speakers…

Any help and suggestions would be greatly appreciated ! Thankyou

Welcome to the forum. First step would be to pull out the head unit and check all of the connections on the back. If that doesn’t help then it’s probably defective but someone here that’s more savvy should chime in soon.
