    Hey everyone,

I got an aftermarket stereo for my 2012 Tacoma sr5. I have 2 leftover plugs from the harness that don’t fit my aftermarket harness. Anyone know what these 2 plugs are for?

You may want to remove the "HELP" from the post's title, usually that is reserved for someone who is broken down and in urgent need of assistance.

Far as the wiring goes, I don't know what that specific plug is, but I'll say when I installed my aftermarket head unit not all the stock wiring migrated over. Some are just not used. Which ones? I have no idea for your application, read the manual that came with your stereo it will tell you what you need and what you don't.

I just replaced the stereo in 2014 and had two extra plugs. Not sure what they're for. Never looked. I don't have steering controls and all that crap, so I just assumed it was factory stuff I don't have. Does your stereo work? That's all that really matters, no?

Looks like Connector R10 and Connector R14.

R10 goes to the microphone for the bluetooth.

R14 Goes to the Multimedia Interface ECU.
