Hey just wondering did you notice if you gained any type of ride height? I’m looking to lift my rear end a bit and supposedly this would give half inch. Thanks in advance

If it did it was very slight and not enough to notice any difference, your best bet would be a leaf pack for that extra lift your wanting.

Dont see any other threads when searching these so this info is going here. LOOK CLOSELY AT YOUR AFTERMARKET LEAF PACKS. I am running B110's, a ubolt+superbump kit, and dakar heavy packs. For dakars (hopefully all others are squared away) you must cut and taper the second leaf from the top to not contact your shackle sides. With these shackle hangers you will have to trim even more, or you can run into problems on trail. Last weekend at AOAA I heard a metallic clang and the axle felt like it has lots of wrap while stopping. I found this.....
    9DB54EE1-9F3A-4985-ABDC-FEE6BF26F21A.jpg
The next day i trimmed atleast another half an inch off the second leaf and tapered it. On trail while climbing a rock cutting hard left at full flex allowed the leaf to become completely jammed up underneath my hanger which FUCKED my beautiful powdercoating these have. Just a warning, mainly for dakar folks but stay frosty. at full extension you should be able to put a full finger between shackle hanger and second leaf to clear.

Thank you for that information because I’m currently on a medium dakar and haven’t ran into that issue but with all the added weight Iv put on the rear I’m needing to upgrade to the heavier pack sooner then later, so I’ll definitely be taking a note of this before the install

Can totally depend on shock setup really, in my situation I use my leaf packs as limiting straps.

That has to be aweful , sorry that happened to you . I’m looking into buying a set of Rago hangers myself . I run with deaver stage 2 u402 leaf springs
Have you heard anything like what you have going on with the deaver leaf springs ?

Deaver may need a slight trim depending on shock choice. Just let the rear end fully droop and really think about clearance. I did not account for torsion of the axle with one side stuffed and one drooped, think that was my main issue when judging my clearance.

I went with fox 2.5 DSC 12” shock, from accutune. It’d kill me if I had to grind the deavers springs after the cost an all . I should say it’s a 3rd Gen Tacoma . I just noticed yours is a 2nd Gen Tacoma ?

I’m debating on Rago or archive hangers at this point. A lot of good info in this thread especially with installation. Following

I thinking the same . But it seems you get more bang for your buck on Rago hangers. That’s the way I’m leaning at the moment .

starting to think I should have went with the OG Archive :bananadead:

Both are good, but Rago has really good customer service . Called them as I’ve order lots of goodies from both companies. With both great results .
Surprised to hear that from Rago fabrications .

I've been running Rago hangars with Dobinson leaf pack (lightest option = 110R) for 15k miles now with zero issues. Ride quality is awesome.

Agree with other comment that the hangars themselves added less than 1 inch of lift... probably between 1/4 and 3/4".

I lost track thousands of dollars ago.
That leaf spring will contact that shackle if you are flexing the suspension they might have more room but you will contact them 100% if you take the truck of road. The even worse issue is the lockout you will get when that second spring gets stuck under the hanger it's happens with all aftermarket hangers. The OME springs are not properly made for the Tacoma IMO and should be modified or avoided. The person from Rago in the convo above clearly has no clue what they are talking about if they think trimming the second leaf will destroy the springs over time.

Looks like someone beat me too it. This ^ is the big issue with the OME springs and aftermarket hangers. You won't split an aftermarket shackle like the factory one but if you have enough droop and OME springs untrimmed this will most likely happen.

I have Rago hangars and they did improve the suspension feel in the seat when on road. Bumps are absorbed a bit more smoothly. Cornering performance might be slightly better but hard to tell.

I have tried to flex your the rear fully but gave up. I can’t do it with risking a rollover lol. So that’s probably pretty good.

FYI, this does NOT happen with our Hammer Hangers since we revised ours nearly 5 years ago now. We've continuously improved our hangers, and our version 3 are high and tight.

Ours actually ship out in a few days, we have them in stock

I think I have bent hangers since both of my leaf springs make contact with my shocks. Just ordered some Rago hangers hoping it fixes the geometry of the springs.

    Update

    With all pro leaf springs

I knew my hangers were bent, i hit them on way too many rocks, Just couldnt pass the rago hangers up, shipped for 375$ when they first came out plus a promo code for TW members, cant beat it for what you get. Not knocking you at all Archive, i love the info you guys provide and the constant updates you do to your designs, but my build is all budget friendly and those fit the bill at the time.
