Does anyone have a option to swap out the large knobs on the rail tie downs and still get them to hold. Any 3 section tonnue cover that is not a factory sits too low for the knobs

You cant get the factory cover unless it came with truck off the show room

I am prob going with the backflip mx, even though it is getting blasted for lack of draining, do u have a point out to the information to drop the rails? I need the tie downs as the 4 corner bed ones dont cut it

If you order the bakflip system, it comes with a rail and adapter to lower your factory cleats. Just installed mines last week. Didnt do a write-up. It is a very easy install. The longest part was cleaning up the shavings from factory.

You screw off rails and screw in the silver lowering adapters to the same holes. Then you screw in the rail on the adapter. You do have to take off the bed caps to get to the screws though. It’s not hard at all. The cover comes with the hardware to do that.

Undercover Flex doesn't have drop down rails. I made this using the factory t nuts. You can search for the write up. Works great.Capture+_2019-06-06-18-35-45.jpg 20190628_194942.jpg 20190628_194957.jpg

not sure of the size, but they're threaded for 3/8"-16. search for "tacoma track nuts" on Amazon. the stainless ones are $15 for 4.

These are not Toyota parts. I agree if they were OEM they should be metric.

Recommend stainless T nuts the andrings from post #10, & stainless bolts with a hex/allen head.

This is a great idea. Where did you get the shouldered eye bolts in 3/8 x 16? I only see a lot of metric around me. THX

I believe I found them at a local hardware store (McDonald’s Hardware in Ft. Lauderdale). You should be able to find them at an Ace Hardware.
