Rails or rain guttersto mount a rack?

    trying to figure out which way to mount a Yakima rack to my topper for a RTT. Rails will be adjustable, but will put the tent high. Rain gutters on the sides may not be strong enough, but could lower the tent a couple inches.

    I have a basic snug top topper and a CVT Mt Rainer Summit Series tent. I’m guessing I’ll have to build a skeleton inside the topper to help with weight..,

    Any help is appreciated!!

    Both are Stock - built correct from the start.
    You could also go with an " over the topper" rack which doesn't touch topper. Many sources. Then you use the setup independently if need be. I had setup on last Tacoma. No tent on top, just boats.
