Rain? Here? It doesn't rain in Washington. At least, that's the way so many people drive here.
Like it never rains here and then when it does,. Too many people with SUVs that shouldn't drive at all.
I love it. Almost as much as driving in snow.

@Brofessor Is is just the angle of the photo... or is your suspension geometry way out of whack? That seems to be a very negative camber (judging by bulge on tire bottom inside, no bulge outside), and would explain many of the issues you listed. Do you have stock UCA's with 4+ inches of lift?

suspension geometry is just fine (2.5” lift via 6112/5160 with progressive AAL). Incorrect in regards to the “very negative camber”. Must be the angle of the photo throwing you off.

the issues are due to the tire, not suspension geometry, nor alignment. I’ve had 3 different sets of tires on this set up and the NRG’s were the ones with issues.

To be honest, aside from Nitto 555R (drag radial), Nitto brand has always left more to be desired out of their tires. I have had several of their tires over the years.

I was very impressed with the ridge grapps in the rain and in the snow. I will say after 20k miles they do lose a some grip in the rain. They did very well when snow wheeling and also during our snow storm early 2019. My camber is set at 0 degrees all around.

    Like, so many.
The 285 NRG is my tire. I've been really happy with it. I will say it that does very well in muddy conditions. It's not an MT, but it's a good off roader. I also think the only tire that looks better is the KO2, but I trust the NRGs off road more than the KO2.
