I think they look good too, especially if you are doing a basic blacked out look. Adds some accent to the top of the truck.

I have the AVS in-channel, purely for function. Like others have said, they only really get used when it's hot out and I leave the windows cracked to keep the cab cooler, makes it so wandering eyes don't see that the windows are cracked open (although I'm not particularly worried about that where I live) and more importantly it keeps any rain out if we get a random shower during the day. They also get used if I need to add some fresh air to the cab on the highway, especially if I have a wet dog in the back seat.

Honestly I forget that they are there most of the time, I certainly don't "check them out" appearance wise, nor have any issues seeing around them, although I am on the shorter side and my seat is as low as it will go.

I had the in channel AVS and they looked okay. I rook them off for a cleaner look as they served no useful purpose for me.

I have the WTech fronts on mine now. No rear channels cuz I think it looks better without them. However, they are very functional as previously mentioned. Easy to install and took a few window rollups for it to seat properly, but no issues now.

When I first installed our AVS in-channels I was concerned. When I rolled up the front windows they would catch on the corner by the mirror. Uh-oh. But I followed the recommended "cure time" - keep the windows rolled up for a couple of days - and they're been perfect ever since.

BTW, thanks @3GTCMLMTD... our Taco is de-badged so I had to get my 3M Adhesive Remover out to scrub the AVS logo off. A little bit of rubbing and now they're nice and clean too! ;)

Sounds good  I was surprised how quick that 3M worked. Saw youtube videos of people using other products and some had to scrub a while to get it all the way off.

Yep. Used a microfiber cloth and at first nothing, and I thought "hmmm... maybe not", but about 15 seconds later, poof!

And, my windows did the same thing. They would go up and go right back down after installing the fronts. The back ones didn't do that. It's been 4 days now since I installed them. Today is officially "roll down the windows and see what happens when I roll them back up" day.

Yep. I was a little apprehensive, and now that I think about it, I think waited four days, not two. Hate those in-between times worrying about something not working right (and in this case a real first-world problem ;) ). Rolled 'em down, back up, back down, back up, ta-dah! They've been worry-free ever since. :woot:

That’s good to know. I kept holding off getting them because I was afraid of them messing with my tint. I’ve read somewhere that the plastic piece pushes the window over and because of that, the tint rubs too hard on the inside of the channel making the tint start to peel. So far, so good for me and many others I see.

That’s great. Hopefully, I’m good to go as well. I can hear the noise the window makes when you roll it up and it rubs against the plastic. Other than that, they work fine. No more rolling them up and having them roll back down when they touch.

Just installed some Weathertech guards on my truck. I’m happy I’ll be able to vent the cabin when it’s raining. Which has been near daily afternoon showers here in Colorado Springs.
