just asking a question like how you ask plus i asked where you were going to put it not when you are getting it. i am just curious because sundown amps are usually pretty big and i figure in a reg cab their isn't too much space to run too pretty big amps along with a sub box. i run a saz1500 and it takes up takes a lot space, the size up the 100x4 is about the same as the saz1500.

HOLY SHIT, IF I HEAR ANOTHER PERSON RECOMMEND THE CTX65CS TO ANOTHER MEMBER I AM GOING TO EXPLODE!!!!!:violent:

:rant:I started car audio about 15 yrs ago and pretty much got out of it about 5 yrs ago. I have recently got back into it when I started my truck build. My last system I had a set of IDMAX 12s at 1/4 ohm on an HCCA amp and loved them. Like a moron I listened to all of the TW members boasting about how good these garbage ass CTX65CSs and bought a pair. Yes they are seperates for under $200. But you get what you pay for. These speakers are by far the worst sounding speakers I have ever heard. When I installed them I had only my Eclispe AVN 726e with no amp on them. It sounded like someone cut a hole out of every song I listened to. I figured, well let me put an amp on them to see if that makes them fill out more. WRONG, no better, just louder. The tweeters will kill you with how bright they are. The mids can't keep up with the tweets, and they don't handle power very well. I am comparing these to other systems I have had in the past. I had Hertz, MB Quartz, Infinity Kappa, RF Fanatic Qs and various other highs. I wouldn't even use these speakers for a door stop after I install the hybrid audio's when they get here. This time I did my research and didn't just listen to what people said. They should be a great speaker, bang vs buck. I would like to know what the above person is comparing them to? over....

Youngster - I put in a LearJet 8-track, Pioneer amp and speakers in the 60's.;)

Did you pick up the Imagine series or lay down the big bucks? I think these will be my next set - and I didn't think I was going to move away from the Pioneer Premier set I've been running.

haha, "big bucks." I purchased the Clarus seperates for the front doors. I think I am going to eventually be moving them to the rear doors and step up again to the 8" set for the front. I have been waiting on Steven's set-up, not I am not confident it will go where it needs to due to the inability of finding a set-up cheap enough for the people on this forum. I have noticed through the "few" years I have been in car audio, everyone has Champaigne dreams and Bud Light pockets....

There is just something about a paper cone speaker that is just amazing. I will be sure to write a review after getting them installed and toned.

I realize I'm a little older than most, but I am available for adoption - that is if you're the kind & generous type.

Nope - in the post you quoted - he's talking about the Clarus line from Hybrid Audio.
