I'm going to put the OEM version on my, .... soon. But, I'm going with the ~ $70 OEM versions. If I'm going to stick something on my truck paint I don't want some cheepo aftermarket that may damage/discolor the paint and perhaps fall off in a short period of time. At Least if You get an issue with the OEM version, and it's installed properly, Toyota can get involved ....

I know what you mean. I had plans on what I was going to get on my truck when I bought it, and what I was going to order myself separately online, and then install, as I wanted to save money and not just waste it during the purchase process! Such things as mudflaps, bed mat, and many other things, I had ordered even before my truck was delivered to me! BUT, when my saleslady FINALLY found the truck that was similar to what I was wanting, it came with the black tailgate letters already installed. At first, I didn't want it but acquiesced because it did save me some time in not having to install them myself, and also, I did want them to look perfect! They do look good, and I am glad I got the truck with them already on it. Some things I can do and I am not good with other things, and I felt ok with getting these letters preinstalled.
