One thing I'd like to correct on my Tacoma is the low seat height. I was thinking of simply adding small (1/2") bushings under the seat frame and using longer mounting bolts. While Toyota would disapprove of this and cite engineering/safety concerns, I think the negative effect would be negligible.

Has anyone raised their seat, and if so, how?

    Thanks

You could just do spacers like you said, or a few thick washers. The bolts are pretty long, might even be able to re use them, but in a crash they might rip out. If you get longer ones get the same grade bolt that is in there. I raised mine about an inch, but it's probably a little more involved than what you are thinking.

I raised mine about an inch, used a hard rubber bushing and longer bolts. A must for this low seating position.

I raised my access cab front seats this weekend . Purchase a 1.5 X 1.5 square piece of metal that holes through out from Lowes. used a 4 inch side grinder with thin blade to cut three inch length for back of seat .Purchased 1.5 inch longer metric bolts from Home Depot. The front I cut 2 inch pieces of the bar stock and cut one end at a taper so it would no stick out at the top. I used the original seat bolt on the bottom of the bracket and used a 3/4 long bolt to an off sit hole on the top of the bracket where the seat touches. Love the out come . Just need to raise the arm rest now.
