The foam I added was to the bottom on the seat so there was no effect on the heating of the seat. It's just like it was before ✌️

Did they take any pics of the foam? Did they glue it or is it just sort of compressed in? I wanna see it!

Funny I'm a tall chap, and need the seat height taller. I've seen that kit linked, I went to the local hardware store, not the big box, and was able to find steel spacers. Those high quality plastic ones you linked to look great as well.

Thanks for the post @AdventureBox, I am doing the same thing at my local shop tomorrow. He's charging me 125, but its all good said he can get me 1.5 in. Well worth the money, specially cuz im not down to add spacers or additonal cover to seat.

This looks really interesting. I'm 5’7” and the seat height doesn’t bother me but the countour of the bottom cushion does. The side bolsters dig into my thighs and really bother me. Does the addition of foam to the top of the cushion make the seat more level with the side bolsters? Also does the seat fabric cover the additional foam well?

The seat height is fine, it's the back of the seat that sucks my lower back in and puts strain on my hip flexors. Is there a way to lift only the back of the seat without raising the front of it so that you can sit on a 180 degree flat line?

More then likely it was 1-2 inch thick foam glued to the main foam. Possibly trimmed at the end for contour. The seat bottom more then likely has room to loosen the hot rings and not place them so tight, allowing more depth on the seat.

Such a simple and clever fix OP! My father has done upholstery for over 40 years and still wasn’t a fix I would’ve thought of!

This is a helluva lot cheaper route that works great!

$27 shipped for a pair of spacers and 2 bolts! Just read the thread and you will save some $$. :)
