@Sandman614 i have a stoeger over/under that i really like. Cheap, and great for anything where 2 shots needed. And you can choke the top and bottom barrels differently if you like

Someone once told me the 870 was the "F150 of shotguns" I guess he was a four guy.
I was told by everyone I couldn't go wrong with the 870. So I got one and it isn't great. I have used other 870s and they are fine. I think I just got a lemon.

I know where you can buy a cheap used 870.

I do love my stoger auto. Cheapest automatic I could find. It is inertia driven not gas.

What he said about the 870. It's a good gun, but nothing to brag about. I have a mossberg 535, which I like slightly more than the 870. But it falls into the same category as the 870, good reliable gun, nothing fancy. One plus side of the 535 is you can shoot a wider variety of shells, up to 3.5", which will try to blow your shoulder clean off.

Those two are both great options though if you're looking for an affordable pump that will get the job done no matter what you're using it for.
