I lived in Asheville for a few years.. if I had to choose mountains or ocean I'd be in the mountains the rest of my life. Hopefully this business will get off the ground and run itself so I can move back lol

I'm assuming I need to replace the battery but you tell me...

Drove around to a few places today and after the last stop I walked out to the truck, unlocked with the key fob got in and tried to start it and nothing happened. No clicking, no lights, nothing...

Sat there for a few minutes, tried again, nothing. Not even aux power for cab light, door locks or the radio...

Popped the hood and checked to make sure the battery was still even connected, everything looked and felt good. Got back in, pushed the door lock button and it worked. Tried to start it and it rev'D up but quickly fizzled out. Tried one more time and it fired right up. Drove it home and now it's in the driveway. Cranks when I try everytime :notsure:

check the terminals, not just wiggle, pull them off and clean, also clean the cable connections to the terminals. i have a few on hand if you need one ( cheaper than dealer ) and it IS a Toyota part ( forklift parts have different P/N from automotive but are generally the same in many cases )

The terminals tend to corrode inside the clamp where you can't see and fail because of this. see it a lot on forklifts

So I need to replace the transmission in my wife's 350z ( revers is shot ). Anyone interested in a project? ;) Shouldn't be that difficult of a job overall..just the logistics. If only we knew someone with a lift...and maybe a transmission jack

many years ago i did a clutch in a 300Z, had it supported off the ground by 4 chunks of oak stump. was actually really stable and was the perfect height.
wasn't terrible to do, the jackass i did it for ended up smoking the new clutch inside of a month, he was afraid of the car and rode the hell out of it (which caused it to go out to begin with)

I know a guy, not sure if he's into the Nissan trans or not, has probably done a few, but i'd need to ask him if he's interested/able first
