Finally starting to get parts to do my 100,000 mile maintenance.
    IMG_20170417_184029504.jpg

Not sure what all I'm going to do but for now I plan on belt, filter, oil, plugs, diffs, thoroughly grease u joints, new battery and maybe get the trans flushed. Any other recommendations? Not sure when any of this was done by previous owners and I'm going to be spacing these all out a bit and start now until I hit 100,000 miles.

I was actually thinking about that, I'll be changing the oil this weekend.

Just changed that a few months ago, after hurricane Matthew and driving through that flood water all those days I had a horrible "low tide" smell coming from it!

So have you used seafoam? What method did you use? Intake, gas or oil?

I do not recommend pouring in oil and running. Sometimes too clean is a bad thing

SeaGoam has a spray with a hose that fits into intake air tube I've used it a few times, does ok
I would still clean throttle body by hand with old tooth brush then most the seafoam after
I do treat all my junk to half a bottle about twice a year in the gas tank seems to help keep injectors happy

Pull the vacuume line off and let it slowly suck into the motor. 1/3 in there, 1/3 in crankcase, and 1/3 into gas tank

I'd refrain from pouring it in the oil

Intake mist is fine, in fuel is fine, getting the insides too clean can be a bad thing, especially on a high mileage engine

Keep in mind, they have a product and are marketing it to anyone who will buy, they won't tell you too much of a good thing is not good.

Denso OEM don't bother with platinum or iridium, waste of $$ on these engines, they don't run hot enough to burn them clean
Both NGK and DENSO were installed on engine from factory ( one brand on each side) most dealers stock DENSO, you can get them at any parts store as well

There are a crap ton of opinions in this subject. I will tell you this.
I change a lot of plugs in varying types of equipment, the only ones I've had issue with are ones where the previous installer just forced the plugs in or didn't use the correct plug. Some Mazda engines require a copper spacer to keep end of thread barrel from protruding into combustion chamber. If this isn't followed, carbon builds up on end of threads and they are a bitch to remove.
I've yet to trash a head because of this but I gave spent a lot of time getting the plugs out.
If a plug doesn't come out with minimum of force stop and evaluate why

I was present for one of those at a buddies shop last week. The porcelain blew out, the hex caved in when trying to extract.
He tried multiple extractors from parts store, none would get a bite.
I had literally just bought this kit as I use them often for my job.

It was a make or break deal, owner standing there watching. SNAP !!
We looked at each other, it either broke or broke loose.
Fortunately the plug remnants broke loose and came out.

    $70 well spent! Didn't cost him a dime !
