2 minutes until I can make the 5 second commute and get that drink that @voz and @mrbedgood have been talking about. Working from home today.

    OK, crazy thoughts again.
I can't seem to shake it, it keeps creeping in. I already know that @Blkvoodoo is gonna hate it.

I like the idea of cutting brakes. Intermittent, versatile, not a locker replacement but can do some cool things.
    (@Sandman614 is groaning now)

Who likes to rip out their center console for a couple of big handles? Nobody. Who wants to see the hoses? Nobody.
    (@mrbedgood is still listening)

What's more, the handles themselves are a bare to pull in order to get enough volume and pressure to activate our brakes.
    (@nastyneight just nodded)

What If.. one had locking solenoids on the brakes, like they use for drag car staging. You can control which combination of 4 wheels that you would send pedal pressure to. Not to use them as locks, but instead as a selectable brake. You have 4 buttons (or a joystick) and if you mash front left, then it locks the other 3 wheels. Your brakes now just activate the front left wheel.
When you let go of the button all brakes are free to flow again.
    (@JimboAnz just cheered!)

Seriously, I've done some searching on this and I've only come back with other threads where everyone calls the OP crazy , stupid, just get a locker responses. Before I create a thread on the question, I'd like to get some opinions from friendly faces.

    :);):confused::cool::p:D:eek::oops::rolleyes:o_O:thumbsup:

Only thing I can think left to say... How many hands do you have? How many control features do you have?

For those who may not know:
    Cutting brakes in a truck:
    upload_2017-5-10_17-16-59.jpg
Each handle locks up either left or right tires, or one side (rear left, rear right).
Your hand must generate the brake pressure.
It's gonna be hard to make that pretty.

Well I wheel with my wife, but she's usually busy screaming and trying to stay in the truck. I've got to set it up so she can't pull the door handle. Child locks up front is what I need.
    I digress...

You are right, but my right hand is usually at least poised for my gear stick. (STFU I have a 6 speed) If you have a 4 axis digital joystick beside it you can lock any 1 or 2 wheels by pulling the joy stick in the opposite direction. You have a wheel spinning in the air? Push the joystick in that direction and left foot the brake. Don't have to lock it, you can feather it right then and there. Power from your leg.

If Jammer brakes are like "steering brakes" or "cutting brakes" But this gives you 4 wheel control.

    OMG.. leave it to you!
Ok so that may be a little bit. But I'm not going to mash the button 100% of the time, it would be more like 0.05% of the time, just when I want it.

Lmao... Look it's an idea that gets in my head.

Sort of like my idea for hydro-cylinder activated sliders, hydro-gm-clutch adapting, and pretending my lsd is a locker. Not all of them are good ideas.
But I think this one has some real potential.

Yeah, see I knew you would know what I was talking about. The trouble with these is getting the right sizing for your calipers or you need to be an 800lb gorilla to get enough pressure in. Plus no matter what you can only control two brake circuits with that setup. My idea gets all 4, and you can use them to brake, or lock for that matter (if you just need to do a burnout)
