    Ours only ran for a year then it sat for another decade. When my dad passed I didn't have the time or skill set to rebuild it and decided to sell. Sucks...

    Dad bought ours in '74, I got hold of it in '86, rebuilt various pieces and parts, tried to hash thru the rats nest of wiring ( very. BASIC vehicle, WHY it had so much shit under he dash is still a mystery)
    Rebuilt the engine,1600 popped to 1776, rebuilt the the dual port heads myself, trashed one in the process.
    1994 it needed to live somewhere else, Dad wanted the garage back.
    I had nowhere to keep it
    It's somewhere in Champaign Urbana IL

    Yea this one ran for a year and had major carb issues. So it sat for 5-6 years.. then had a guy pull the engine and completely restore the body. When my dad passed I took it to WNC with me and had aspirations to rebuild it. I needed a VW guy to give me some direction but I lived in the middle of nowhere.

    So after sitting for 3 years in my garage I decided to just sell it so someone could actually get it back on the road.
