Couldn't get my scoop out. The nuts seem to have seized onto the screw and the screw spins like crazy. The front 2 are stripped and I can't even tighten them back up to secure the scoop back to the hood. I can't get the back three of either but was able to tighten those so at least the scoop is stuck to the hood, the front is just slightly raised to where it used to be. Hardly noticeable though.

Tried to plastidip it on the hood and succeeded fairly well except I tried to take the tape off too soon and boogered it all up with my fingers so I have since peeled it all off anyway. I was 50/50 on the look with it on. Wife didn't like it. So I doubt I redo it.

It does have some sun spots where the silver has come off so I'd like to do something to fix that. Maybe just repaint the whole thing to color match

 

So I'm still throwing the idea of selling my truck and getting rid of my truck payment. I've got a 2008 DC TRD offroad 4x4. Automatic, Black Sand Pearl color, and I just rolled 83,000 miles on it yesterday. Its completely stock, I've got window visors that I haven't put on yet and running boards that I took off but still have them. I was thinking about listing it for $21,500, do you guys think that is a fair price or I'm asking too much?

Also, since I've got it financed through Ally Bank, how big of a deal is it to others that a) I don't have the title, and b) the bank isn't local?

Theres a guy on the forums who sells them. then you just have to get it cut and I can code it for you with my Techstream.

 

Of course in still in the stone ages, im just getting to moving my rear breather tomorrow.

06 might be a "dot" key and might be able to be programmed with the door opening and closing technique. but, the techstream always works.

@voz found out you have to take the little pin out and remove the blade before getting it cut.

 

It helps, but they cut mine fine without removing it. then the same dealer messed up Voz' key. Best to remove it though. Might want to check with Voz where he took his the second time.

 

So the Apex dealer is 1-1 on cutting these? Should I find somewhere else?
