Lots of trails around the historic Rockefeller Estate. (Percy Rockefeller, not John) Lots of cool buildings in there if you want to do some exploring. Not really any difficult trails though. Land is owned by the Army.

Pisgah is wilderness, you could pretty much camp anywhere. Julian Price is great with good access to hiking trails and BRP.

Any good shops around Raleigh to install 5100 front & Rear AAL 1.5 and OME887? I called one place and got a quote for 600-700 and 150 for an alignment. I would rather support local businesses instead of places like 4 wheels parts which quoted me 900(alignment included). I would do it myself, but that would probably be an entire weekend job.

@Red Baron I feel a mod day is in order then. I got my lifetime alignment done for 150 at firestone. You can get a non lifetime alignment done from around 70 bucks to 100.

All the part will be in after the new year. Yeah I figured there were places cheaper than 150 on the alignment.

A mod day is definitely in order. If you're not doing UCAs it "should" only take about half a day. It'll be fun ... srsly ... it'll be fun

Edit: Alignment should be around $100 or less. I had one place in Cary do it for $80 I think. Then I had the folks at Garner Auto Specialists do it on their spanking new machine for $90 ... or maybe it was $99...either way.

Yeah... @Sandman614 does that as well, I think. I don't like Firestone ... not sure why they just bug me for some reason. I think one of the managers there touched me inappropriately about 20 yrs ago. I should bring that up to someone ;)

Bring it up, you didn't give consent right? Everybody else is doing it ;-) As soon as I receive all the parts I will post back to this thread. Where do you all normally do these mod days my place your place empty parking lot HAHA. When I used to do MOD days we would all meet at someones house and everyone was wrenching on each others cars if mods had to be done.

Which UCA do you suggest? This is where I have been ordering my parts from, but if you guys know of cheaper places I am all ears.

Not really a fan either but I worked for them about 20 yes ago. I just figured 150 for lifetime alignments vs paying 100 bucks a shot Everytime I needed it redone is a savings. Especially since I've used it twice since my lift.

Oh and yeah get the upper control arms that is almost a must to get the alignment to work out well and the suspension geometry to work well.

Yep pretty much how it goes if you have a good place then you host or can host elsewhere. I know @Red Baron and I were discussing a get together when I was helping with his starter. Me and him live abt an hr away from everyone else and our area is not active at all so we piggyback the Raleigh area.

I went with the Icon UCAs with their high angle ball joint expensive but I am tired of upkeep and rebuilding heim/spherical joints.

@HeadStrong Off-Road offer free shipping on everything and are priced pretty much like everyone else. I ordered my rear springs from them along with a couple other things. I would highly recc. them. When ordering the stuff for my lift which I sourced stuff from ToyTec, wheelers, & headstrong and they were the best to deal with second Wheelers then Toytec. I would also suggest getting Wheelers U-bolt flip kit with their superbumps which I have F&R and really like the superbumps cheap and really good compared to the other bumps on the market.
