Mine was a bitch to figure out the right angles to pull it out

 

Just have to hold your tongue right! I have had many of those frustrating days in the shop trying to figure out the exact position things need to be in to get them out.

 

Well, the original shop I took the assemblies to called me and said they can't do them because they don't have a wall mounted compressor. So I just had to take them to another shop, ugh.

 

Probably but the only vehicle I rode in without bars was my buddies TJ which was on 40s with a custom triangulated 4link front and rear with coil overs and some fairly soft springs. So when you went around a curve or turn it leaned and stayed leaned over for a while. So it was a little freaky feeling.

 

That's BS you can do them with a non wall mounted set up like you rent from autozone. Slackers

 

Hate shops that take work they can't do/can't do right.

 

He said his regular compressor was too big for my springs...I think they primarily work on diesel trucks, idk lol...the 2nd shop has a wall mounted compressor and he seemed more confident, haha. Still it's 2 hours wasted

 

Seriously...wish they guy would have told me to begin with that he may not be able to do it...wouldn't have had to waste my time.

 

Crap like this will make you more comfortable to do stuff yourself quicker.

 

I was a medium/light duty diesel mechanic we never needed spring compressors suspensions are different and don't have coil overs. He may of just not wanted to mess with them still BS should of been up front with you and looked more carefully when you brought them in!

 

Someone want to come give me a hand bleeding brakes? Pump, hold, crack, repeat

 

Fill an old coke bottle or something like that with fresh brake fluid attach a hose to the bleeder run it into said bottle of brake fluid open the bleeder and commence pumping of the pedal. Pump it a handful of times then check the bottle. Do this in your regular bleeding sequence. This will also draw fresh fluid up into the system when you let off the brake pedal.

May not be as fun as having someone else to shoot the shit with but is an easy one man operation and gets the job done.

I know better than to wait for help . I'll just use the HF bleeder I have, then use the programmer to run the ABS bleed functions. Hell I don't even have any cold beer to offer in exchange for help

 

2nd shop called and cant do it either, what the heck???

 

What was there reason? Do you have an autozone nearby?

 

Same as the first shop, they keep saying that my Springs are too small and their compressor won't work. Yes I may just go rent a compressor at AutoZone, but I've never used one
