I have a decent compressor like you'd rent from AutoZone but it has u-bolts that hold the spring so it can't jump out. No need for a wall mount even when I had access to one I tended to use mine more often. It also has 2 arms to compress the spring evenly side to side.

I really should have done the "cheat" way, but i was scared, lol. Mineke finally got it done...and charged me $90 for it. The 2nd shop I went to had a wall mounted one but they still claimed the tacoma's spring was "too narrow"...oh well...everything is back on the truck now and all is well...lol

Thanks, man! The truck feels way higher than the ".85" that the first notch on the 5100s is supposed to give...maybe it just needs to settle? Does look good though.

Nope...everything looks right on the shock...and it's still a little lower than the rear so I guess all is fine

It is the main reason people say their trucks settle is bushing bind which your control arms are in right now. The bushings eventually will stress/wear into a non binding position. That's why I said to loosen the control arm bolts then you tighten them once weight is on the ground and jounced a few times. This is how I do all suspension work and how I did my lift and havent seen or measured any settling. This is how all repair manuals say to do it.

you realize how far back the actual threads are inside the balancer ? and that the bolt has Loctite on it ? Kroil wont do anything with that. you need big air and a big gun

Finally prepped and masked off, back early in the morning to put up some plastic to limit the over spray and final wipe down and then spray

I always thought that unless the penetrating oil could actually get to the threads it doesn't really do anything especially on a blind bolt like that.

I've taken some gas not to be named and froze the bolt before to get one out. Reverse of heating a nut up it shrinks it and breaks the hold.
