I enjoyed the pew pew and hanging out for a bit at dinner. For whatever reason that little tap, tap, tappy, tap, tap I gave my coil spring fixed the squeaking I was getting. weird because it didn't do anything. Mechanical objects and fixing them just doesn't make sense some days. But when something wasn't going right in the shop we always get a bfh and that'll persuade it!

I read that tire article that you sent me very intriguing. It has many good points and the guy did an excellent job in his argument although it seemed to be written like it was a dissertation for his mechanical engineering degree. As far as what we were talking about is it has some relevance but what I was talking about which is going up in size eventually to 37's (probably will be SAS'd at that time too) there really isn't any narrower tires I could go wider but would choose the narrowest tire. I was also making reference to wheel width choices and getting the correct wheel width for the tire and not a wheel that is too narrow for the tire. Or like the import scene is doing which is putting a wider wheel on and stretching a tire that is too narrow to go on said wheel width. I have seen, not as prevalent on this forum, but some of the other offroad forums using a very narrow wheel narrower than suggested for the tire, now that isn't necessarily bad if you are running something like a bead lock wheel. There are some benefits to running a narrower wheel and how it affects the way the tire is shaped when inflated. If that article hasn't been shared on this forum I would suggest you post it up on here. Also like I mentioned and he mentioned in his article is there are many more variable in off-roading than say NASCAR for tire contact so we have to make more "compromises" as to what we choose.

It was fun, loved the 1st gen! Once you switch that bed out maybe we could use it as a jig for coming up with what you wanted for your bed! I think you are onto something with getting something out there for the 1st gens that isn't really out yet.
