Greensboro is cool, never lived there, but commuted to work there for a year or so (hour drive, easy ride, company truck)

 

I hope I can make a career change I sure would love to live in the mountains

I am in Burlington abt. 15 min east or so depending on where you are in Greensboro. They have a cool downtown scene with some nice breweries there. What are your questions about hunting?

It’s just right in the middle of the state. Long way to th mountains and a long way to the beach. Not a bad thing

 

Depends on where and what you are hunting. Where I use to hunt in Person county every yr there were multiple 160+" bucks taken every yr. the deer get smaller down toward the coast but the Bear hunting is better. On the coast and the sand hills area there is hog hunting which is ok. Pretty much everywhere there is decent Coyote and Fox. The turkey bc NC for the longest time had no season really got a nice stock. The N counties and Mtns have a little better than eastern NC but all are still really good. By no means do we have some of the midwest sized deer but respectable compared to other states. I will say that in any given yr it has never been a question of the ability to fill all my tags but if I wanted to and that volume never really seen the quality of the animals I hunted be poor.

My buddy is the OP for the April trip.Camping n hunting thats right up my alley man. You do any Archery hunting @ovrlndkull

 

Nope can't pull a bow back but NC counts crossbows now for archery season so I may get one so I can start my season early. But as soon as open/rifle opens for whitetail here I can easily fill all my tags in that first week.
