Sturgil Simpson is the man. High top mountain and meta modern sounds are incredible albums if you like country music

Tell me about it even the damn scouts do it and we need to know #s for that for cost of food, seats for driving etc. PITA people should make commitments and stick to them

I wish I knew about the camping earlier I would of loved to go.

 Do you like any of the newer bluegrass stuff more of the electric style?
He won't ever make it in true Appalachia he'd have a heart attack with the porch pickin folk music.

Leftover Salmon the Banjo player is a good friend of mine and John Stickley went to school with my sister both are NC boys from Durham. Leftover Salmon was the house band for the After the Catch TV show a few seasons ago.

The west wasn't around when country music started. If you think it came from the west then you should know who Chris Ledoux is :stirthepot:

Actually country got its start in the VA mountains and bluegrass roots come from Kentucky

Don’t get me wrong. I’m a huge fan of the dirty south hiphop (specifically chop and screw but that’s more popular in Texas where I’m from) but my roots are in old country (60s-80s) and bluegrass

honest question, what is this bluegrass you guys keep talking about?

My first music choices are hip hop (real stuff not this new teeny pop shit) and rock.

I would say it got it's start pretty much from the folk music and the mix of different styles more predominantly in Appalachia even down to Louisianan.

I like Colt Ford, Cowboy Troy, and some of that style of country rap whatever you call it.
