What @Blkvoodoo said no average suspension alterations will cause a fail for state inspection. For maintenance and what not most anyone can do it. You aren't changing anything that an avg Joe couldn't do. A Bilstein strut assembly is essentially the same as a factory one just gives you lift. Same goes with leaf packs. This will have no affect on the serviceability of let's say the spark plugs, fluids, etc. If you have a shop or mechanic that you trust and isn't a dealership princess then they should be able to handle anything you may need.

i may have misinterpreted what you were asking as well, asking what shop would let what slid on a state inspection, that’s not something to discus on an open forum, the black suits are always watching ready to pounce, and could make life very difficult and expensive for said shop. there are enough things to worry about with out drawing undue attention.

As for a repair shop, again word of mouth is the best player, but MOST repairs and mods can be done by a home gamer and a few tasty sammiches and libations among friends.
if you’ve got the inclination to learn and the stones to sweat it out, someone here will be available.
I’m always willing to walk someone thru a repair or modification, but unless there’s $$$ on the table, you’re doing the bulk of the grunt work.
It’s your truck you need to know how to work on it if you’re gonna break it.
Others may be willing to do the grunt work for you, i do this crap all day/week, i’m content just to poke with a stick and make lewd comments between moments of constructive smartassery.

As what’s shops to use, that all depends on what you want done and how far you want to travel.

Hmmmm why would you sell a gun. That just seems silly to me. Tell him to go to Rock City Guns in Roxboro. They sell them at the cheapest allowed pricing. They usually have one or 2 used ones as well. If he buys new just don't go to Bass Pro or anywhere like that they charge full MSRP.

Sorry man, I sure don’t. I sold mine a month ago.

Tell him to go to Fuquay Gun, best place around here to purchase one. They have a wide section.

I was just there yesterday, purchasing some new goodies. Got a new little project I want to do real quick.

My bad it was a split second decision. I needed to get out yesterday. A dude hit me (rucksack) with his passenger side mirror driving by me.

Look in the ure thread link in signature. I think a group of us will be going on the 15th. I may go tomorrow for a little bit not 100% though. There will also be a contingent from the SC area going next weekend.

I'd be in for next weekend, but I'm waiting on extended brake lines. Just flipped the rear shackles and still have to make everything kosher. Down for a brewery meetup after work if anyone in here drinks beer...

It'll be fine just unbolt the bracket at the axle and make a spacer for temp. use.

This is also why I did my extended brake lines with my lift as I knew I would go with more flex later and they are cheap ins.

That's some good beer right there! DB Vienna Lager is my favorite! Did you go to the brewery in VA? I've been thinking about a day trip up there.

Several of us like to drink. We should hit up Aviator one evening for some drinks and BBQ
