    Do you remember my sliders? The kickout is like the last foot or so of the slider. It pushes the truck away from whatever you are leaned against. Since you are a mall crawler and wouldn't really venture offroad you could do without it unless you wanted it for looks. Also of you plan to use them as steps I would suggest filler plates. I love the filler plates on mine. I'll get you pictures tomorrow so you can see what I'm talking about.
