I still have an atari I think

 

We still have our original Nintendo in one of the closets at my folks place I think. We got rid of the atari long ago traded up for a Sega. I guess you could call that a trade up.

 

We had the video system with just two paddles,forget what that was called. When the 2600 died we didn’t get Nintendo or Sega. We were given the Atari 7800 so we could play the same ol’ games. I was deprived of Mario Bros.!
By the time we were 5yrs old we had 12” survival knives with fish hooks and saws and BB guns. Our shotguns only came out for a special occasion or hunting season! I was behind on technology as a child! We played outdoors..

 

Any recommendations for a good lift kit that won't break the bank? I have no clue what to look for, so any advice would be appreciated!

 

@HeadStrong Off-Road Contact Marie with them. They'll get you set up. Also if you google it there are probably a few hundred different combinations to not break the bank but suite what you are looking for.

 

I will be getting my stuff from Headstrong Offroad. Hopefully by spring of next year.
As far as what you want to accomplish with your lift will determine cost. I am needing around $2000 for parts. I don’t believe that is breaking the bank for my needs when kits are up to $5000 or so..

 

Thanks guys. I'll check them out. Yeah, $2000 is a little pricey for me at the moment, but I guess if I spend the extra dough it will be worth it in the end. I guess i'm looking for a lift that gives good performance off road, and on road since this is my daily driver, but really just increasing the clearance of the truck is the mail goal.

 

The Bilstein, OME, Dakar, UCA is probably where I am headed. Lots of proven results for the cost. I wouldn’t do a cheap ready lift if you wheel.
I would recommend waiting till you have the money to get what you want/need rather than hurriedly put something on and end up having to change it..

 

Agreed. I'm going to message Headstrong on their thread and see what they can do. Appreciate the advice!

 

If you look at all the different build threads of the guys in here we all accomplished similar "lifts" but did it differently and all at different budget levels. Also some have upgraded to better components over the yrs as their needs/goals changed.

A quick "cheap" and dirty lift that a lot of people go with is Bilstein 5100s front OME springs, rear 5100s and any # of AALs this will get you lift and be a good entry level offroad capable suspension and have decent on road manners. From there as you feel the need or your budget allows you to upgrade you can do upper control arms, switch to a full leaf pack, extended brake lines, U-bolt flip, bump stops, etc.
