Yea that’s where I’m at with it. I was at the Wilmington gun show and it was at a good enough price that I jumped on it. Don’t get me wrong. The 300 will be a fine round for my intentions.. I just had a change of heart and think I may sell it and get the 450. Or I’ll keep it and buy the 450 in addition to lol

I agree with you 100% if your idea of off roading is rocketing up a muddle hill balls out, you’re probably an asshole. That doesn’t mean you can still enjoy some mud

It's essentially a 7.62x39 ballistically where it really shines is in the subsonic supressed realm.

Yea both the 300 and 450 drop significantly after about 150-200. So they are similar there..

There’s nothing wrong with either option. Just be respectful.

I like them about as much as the 7.62x39 to 200-250 that's it after that I'm looking for something else. I have never been much of a fan. I think they would be great in an SBR or pistol with subsonics and supressor for HD
Shit just go with the .50 beowulf

Don’t make that in the American Ranch. I’m sticking with that brand and model because of the 16” threaded barrel. Need something short that won’t get hung up when I’m walking through the woods. My rem 700 with a 22” barrel is a pain to walk through the woods with because it’s long and I don’t want to scratch it up (my grandfathers rifle he gave to me as a teen)

I wish I got handed down stuff but my family is pretty anti-gun. I feel ya on a good woods gun. I've been contemplating getting another savage 10 in .308 and rebarreling it to a 16" and putting a nice boyds stock on it as my woods gun. As long as I can get the ballistics out of a good hunting load at 100 it would make a great woods gun.
