Cost of repair and repaired value exceed market value. Often the case once you have some years on the truck. It doesn’t have to be non repairable.

Usually the buy back is like 1000 or so and then they cut you the check for the rest. Get a real good estimate of damages and spend the check where you can't do the work yourself like if the frame is bent. You can find bedsides fairly cheap and a set of Depo taillights is only like 120 bucks. You can make out like a bandit if they pay you a decent amount. I have done this several times. Certifit in Raleigh is a good source for body and lights and such as well

I want to be done with this move so I can get back to tinkering. I've been going through stuff and getting rid of things that "I don't need anymore".... I'm sure when I get back to tinkering I'll need them.

you need to find a quasi permanent roost for a while. this yearly pop and hop has got to be getting old !

but in doing that, you’ll acquire more crap than you’ll ever really use (i’ve been in my place going on 19years, i’ve got crap strewn everywhere)

I'm hoping this place will be at least 2 years. The house stuff isn't too bad to move, except for my tinker bench.. So many little bits and Bob's, can't really have anyone else help pack it up or it'll be lost forever.
