My dad sold his ‘87 4Runner, rag top and all, knowing I wanted it. That old 22RE with a 5speed OD was tough! Don’t make ‘em like that anymore...

Hey all, I'm searching for a highly skilled welder in the Raleigh area. I need someone to fix the birdshit welds that Meineke used on my new muffler today. They also installed the muffler with the branding upside down, but that's the least of my concerns. My guess/hope is that the mounds of birdshit can be ground down and beautiful new tig welds can take their place.

What I really need is someone who actually takes pride in their work, so any leads would be much appreciated!

Bob's Muffler Shop has done a great job on my 2 trucks. BUT their work is not the glorious Tig welds you are looking for (show truck I assume?), granted the price isn't for that either.

A few questions. Is the muffler stainless? Are the exhaust pipes stainless? Are you sure the muffler was installed in the correct orientation i.e. the baffles on the inside of the muffler facing the right direction of the flow of exhaust.

I can put a feeler out to my buddy see if he'd be willing to. He's in N. Durham area though.
