Hi guys, I'll be visiting my daughter in Holly Springs next week and would like to plan a day trip (mid-week) to the beach. Looking perhaps at Freeman Park or Ft. Fisher area. Any thoughts or suggestions would be appreciated. Thank you!

What day are you planning on going to Freeman or Ft Fisher? Freeman can get PACKED on a nice weekend but theres spots to get away from the majority of the crowd. I believe its also 40 bucks or so per day pass to go out on the beach. Ft. Fisher, I am not sure of.. i havent ever driven out on that beach

It shouldnt be too terrible mid week. Welcome to the area! Another spot you can check out (I dont know the regs on driving on the beach or cost) is Topsail island. That place is usually extremely deserted and you wont likely see more than a handful of folks out there. I know you can drive on the beach but I dont know if it costs money or if there are times of year where its not permitted.

Yea I agree. I hope the quality doesn’t go to shit too.. BUT I’m not opposed to spreading coverage to other parts of the country!!

 

North Topsail at the very N. end of the Island where the inlet is you can ride out onto but mostly it's for the surf fishing guys. You have a certain area you must stick to. During the off season the atlantic beach area and associated beaches on that island use to allow beach riding not sure anymore.

Not necessarily a bad thing. The heep you drive was built when Chrysler was owned by an investment corp. Lots of big companies do it when they get stagnant and stuck financially etc.

Never had whataburger i hope they do get out here I want to try this stuff ya'll rave about.
