New clutch, and converting to the concentric slave and TOB pictured. Old one came apart and did a number on the transmission snout so it's this or a trany swap.
I'm excited about it, may be the first time the clutch feels good on this truck.

Interested in what’s going on but have nothing to offer. Just had the clutch done in my third gen Runner last week, pilot bearing failed and finally caused clutch issues. Back up and running again. Paid someone else, no time or desire.

You might recall one day we were sitting in your camp ground @ Jordan Lake and we discussed the possibility of this conversion. Necessity has driven innovation here.
I hoped you remembered and would give me a hard time, miss that ;-)

I hope for the $$$ involved it solves your (truck) issues. I vaguely remember the conversation but there was alcohol, cold weather and snow involved, so...

I’m in Pinehurst. I’d be great to find a local place but no luck. Fayetteville is a pain. I’m in the military and fly in and out of RDU all the time. I figure I can drop the truck off prior to a trip and get it on the way back if I find a good shop in Raleigh

    Yes

    1. Remove current aftermarket rear bumper and repaint
    2. Get rear auxiliary light working
    3. Remove front OEM bumper and install aftermarket one.
    4. Transfer auxiliary lights in front
Aftermarket front bumper has turn signals built in. Need those working

The only shop I have experience with has closed it's doors. Most of us are DIY guys to a fault. @voz may know, I don't think he does his own oil changes.

@doc1911 You may want to give Taggart Cars a call. They are about 6 miles from the airport. They do quite a bit of custom work and sell performance / custom vehicles. They are just down the road from me and have lifted 4x4's , rally cars and the like. Check out their web site as they have some specials for maintenance work going on. This may be your winner.

I think you should have highered your expectations some. Have a buddy who just sold his for $250, and they went quick. But appreciate the advice.

The OEM rim market is all over the board. It's all about the luck of when posting. Is someone looking for that rim now or not, sometimes could get more than that.

I think it's time to check your meds Papi.

Taggart is a custom performance house in the middle of Cary. I wouldn't expect Jiffy Lube pricing. :hattip:
