    @ovrlndkull you work with building plans? How can I tell if a wall is load-bearing? It's this side wall of the laundry closet. It's not sitting directly over the block wall, there isn't a floor above it and the roof goes perpendicular to it. Our washer and dryer are huge and this hallway they go in will kinda suck if we can't gain a little more space. I'm thinking taking the wall back to match the other closet in this hall.

    Is the wall running perpendicular to the joists? If it is, then its probably load bearing.

    Not necessarily depends on how the roof trusts are designed. That old addage isn't viable anymore.
    More than likely it is not. I wouldn't be able to tell for sure without seeing the roof trusses. Typically really short walls like that are not load bearing
