Yea man I did the same with the Jeep. Now that I’m not DDing it I’m back to more aggressive tires.

how’s the 5.29 on the highway? My 4.88 in the Jeep run me about 3k at 80mph with a 6 speed manual.

2nd gens don't have a 6th. That just seems really low and sluggish to me. Stock gearing I was at 1900-2000 on 35s and it had no balls. Late shift into OD and torque converter lock up downshifted easily. Lastly the accel pedal had to be depressed a good amt to hold speed

Working on other peoples cars makes me love our trucks even more! A friend asked if I could check his DTC codes on his 09 Malibu 3.6L, codes came back as p0433 - evap purge solenoid circuit. Him not fully understanding how inspections in this state work(He's from the Mid west where they don't have inspections) took his car for inspection and failed. The shop kind of yanked him around got him to agree to diagnostics and then he finally remembered we already checked codes. They came up with the same thing we did but charged him $113... Again him not fully understanding bought the evap solenoid, ACdelco from Amazon, even though I told him I thought the problem was wiring p0433 - evap purge solenoid circuit.

Fast forward to 2 days ago, part is here and we install it after he changed his oil and we put in the back 3 sparkplugs (which aren't as big of a pain as they look). Fire up the car, it runs fine, and he pulls out of the garage as I'm hooking up my scanner to pull codes again. No power, it's in limp mode and CEL is on still. HOLY MOTHER... wtf is all this from... Transmission is not related to Engine oil spark plugs or Evap solenod RIGHT?!?!?!?! Spend a whole day being sidetracked by that BS because the p0443 is not showing, I finally got back to the Solenoid plug and realized the wire was broken inside the insulation... Cut it off, took it home, spliced some new wires on, and this morning we hooked it back up. ALL CODES ARE GONE, and it's back out of limp mode.

    Thanks GM FAK YOU!

Shit bolted onto other shit, and junk.
I have had Tepui and CVT and now Free Spirit Recreation. The Tepui and CVT are all copies of the same and now I believe are owned by Smittybilt but not sure. Cheaper quality for sure but decent design. FSR has a much cleaner and better design with easier deployment and quality ladder setup. I love my highcountry tri wall 88 FSR. There was one in VA for sale in excellent condition on here.
