    Well hell, it looks like you just about got it licked. Slap some Tape and mud on the rest of those seams and start sanding.

    paint covers up the imperfections pretty well

    Did you use joint tape ? and a nice 6” wide putty knife ?

    nonshrinking compound is also A plus....

    seriously, I chased a seam for nearly two whole days at our office only to give up convinced it was going to look like shit for the paint to cover it up completely. I can’t even find the line anymore

    You aren’t, just inexperienced. And that’s ok, it’s not rocket surgery, it’s messy as hell and very trying on your patience.
    It looks like ass now, when you sand use a block, or a(cheap) power sander with a vacuum attachment. and the sanding screen in a fine mesh, then wipe with a damp cloth to finish. Let dry then prime it all. Remember, it’s a garage wall, not the TajMahal
    If your gonna be messing with it this weekend I can swing over
