Anyone around Raleigh/Durham help me get this pesky screw out? Tried drilling but it’s stuck good. Saw a few methods but lack the tools.

Open for suggestions.

 

soak with PB blaster, heat extruded aluminum, weld on another bolt head to the body, use vice grips, bring it by my house

 

Next time please use this anytime you use nuts or bolts with aluminum, stainless steel or titanium! I used this stuff on just about everything and all my old Ti. frame bicycles.

yessss, absolutely. It is like the herpes of the automotive world though, you put it on one thing and next thing you know half your tools are covered in it.

 

Ive soaked pb blaster. That sucker is jammed in tight. Pmd about possibly meeting up.

 

Going to stop by Lowe’s today and grab some. Liked for good advice.

 

I’m going to try and sand it down, drill and tap it. Hopefully much wimpy drill can do it.

 

Why not just buy a new piece of extruded aluminum and then tap that pretty easy and a lot less work to save $30 or so worth of extruded aluminum.

 

Good point but I like the challenge Might be the route if I don’t get it out though.

 

35's getting picked up on friday......5.29s going in on monday.......Cab mount relocate is going to have to get done soon along with a snorkel to handle the loss of inner fenders.......anybody wanting to help with the snorkel? Not looking forward to cutting the fender

 

Can anyone recommend a good place around here for winch install? Assume will need new bumper as well.
