Been a while since Ive checked in here hope everyone is doing well. What gear oil for the rear diff is everybody running? Ever since I changed mine last year Ive been dealing with intermittent clutch chatter from the rear diff. I had it sorted after adding a 2nd tube of the LSD additive but its slowly started up again chattering over the last 2 months. I changed the fluid again this past weekend with Mobil 1 75W-90 synthetic and 2 tubes of whatever the LSD additive is they sell at Advance Auto its like Lube Guard LSD supplement and the issue got worse! I'm ready to try something other than mobil1 and maybe a different LSD additive to see if I can get it right. Might try a 3rd tube of additive as well before I feel like I wasted 3 jugs of Mobil-1.

Synthetic lubes tend to be too slippery for some LSD rear ends just as they are for some manual transmissions.
Try going back to a standard good quality gear lube with additives and see what happens.

You sir have hit the nail on the head. Smooth as butter on conventional oil. She was not a happy camper on the synthetic THANKS! @Blkvoodoo

The clutches need to grab to be effective, friction modifier can only do so much when the base is slippery to begin with.
Early Toyota transmissions running synthetic oil would suffer gear clash because the juice was too slippery and the synchronizer rings weren’t slowing the gears down fast enough. Going back to regular GL-5 solved the issue. Even using manual trans specific synth lube wasn’t able to cure the issue.
Synthetics aren’t always the better way.

I been hanging in there glad it seems like things may be finally getting closer to normal again. I don't have to put my mask on to walk out of my office 10 feet to the copy machine anymore. Works been nutz doesnt allow me to mess around on the internet like I used to half of my days. Been doing a lot of fishing pretty much any weekend the weather is halfway decent I've been out at cape lookout trying to get on em. Going after Cobia this weekend. I saw your pallet bar on instagram it was quite impressive.

You haven't caught a sea robin or puffer yet???? Keep the pin fish cut them up get a crab pot and go set it for a few hrs while you fish then you'll get something to eat. When I go down without the kiddo we can go out and get some decent fish. I can show you some tricks for sheepshead.

It's just like freshwater. Look for structure and bottom conditions. Specks love docks, reds love oyster beds. Knock barnacles off the bridge pilings and you create a feeding frenzy of sheepshead. Black drum are like reds, sharks are everywhere. Founder stage at little finger inlets when the tide goes out they feed you gotta bring the bait to them. Reds use a Carolina rig. Specks you can use the same top waters as you do for bass.
