Did the majority of you guys change your timing belt and water pump yourselves? If not then what shops are good around the triangle. Besides the dealerships.

Already need to on your 2015? Timing chain

I'd say if you aren't afraid of tearing the majority of your engine apart you can DIY

I was going to do as preventative measures but then again it’s not rotting or anything. Had a 2001 4Runner where all that went bad around 150k so I wanted to just be prepared.

That was a timing belt the 4.0 has a chain and there really isn't a maintenance schedule for them

mine is original OEM at 305k, I’m tempted to change it just because, but the risk of getting a not so good one is there too…. SERP belt has been changed 2 times

Lazy weekend for me but I was debating tackling my suspension myself tomorrow. Was going to follow this video. Anyone around the area tried this? https://youtu.be/5E6u7dC7EHg

Good method, just be careful, you might have a little trouble getting your new springs compressed enough to get the top nut on depending what you went with.

Went with 885x on bilsteins. It’s a good video but doesn’t have much on torque specs.
