    Stock for now.. maybe
So I'm going to just post/ask this again.

GF needs some FOA coilover shocks rebuilt and charged. Vehicle is located in Burlington. We were hoping a friend could help with the rebuild and find someone to finish the job... no luck because they are busy...

I have been looking/calling shops that could help us with this work with not much luck even if that means trailering the vehicle 4 hours round trip. Rebuild kit has finally arrived and would like to get this done so we can enjoy URE once it starts cooling off.

Any suggestions for a shop? At this point we are willing to make a drive if needed

I know, I know its a jeep on a tacoma forum.

Went to my local alignment shop today after installing my SPC UCAs to discover with my LCAs maxxed out, I was only able to achieve 1.7 degrees of caster. I believe stock specs are 0.6-0.8. Not to mention, in the process, my right front camber is out of spec, with the UCAs adjusted in to the max. And they sheered off one of my cam tab retainers. Anybody have some advice to lend? I was not charged for the alignment, but just seems to be more issues to fix going forward. Not to mention, possible tire wear issues down the road. I don't have a printout to provide

Find a better alignment tech.. Firestone had no clue how to do my alignment until I got a good tech and literally helped him do the alignment.

The instructions say to 0 the LCA cams, set the UCA adjustment, then use the LCA for fine tune.

Are the SPCs set at 4* caster? If your tabs are just bent then we can weld some flat bar in behind them or you could get all sexy with tab gussets. Or as stated above, try another tech, but you can look and see if the tab are bent flat.

I had bent my factory tabs back up and put a weld bead behind them, it worked well enough but the whole tab bent and let the cam move (with offroad use). I imagine using some bar behind them would do similar while the gussets add reinforcement. No bad solution but I recommend the full gusset. I guess most techs don't loosen the bolts before cranking on them or something..

I set the UCA's at 4* but when they put it on the rack, it read 0.8* @zippsub9

If your tabs aren’t bent flat then I would try a different shop. The camber is no excuse since a 36mm socket can provide an extra almost 10-15* of camber they just don’t check the top of the UCA. The toe and caster may just need another shop to set them up. Perhaps pre-soaking them may help with prevention of bending tabs. The Firestone off 55 in Apex knows how to mess with mine but I centered them prior to drop off. You may just check to see if the ball joint is centered up top first prior to heading to the shop. Take all the weight off the wheel first then loosen the ball joint, center it and retighten.
