    I’m currently in the Raleigh area with a first generation Tacoma I’m having an issue with the steering column slip joint and want to do the weld mod described in this post:

    anyone have experience with this and could help me do it or recommend someone that could?

    Have you determined if it was the shaft or the tiltball? Watch TimmyTheToolmans video posted in that thread. I can do a quick spot weld for ya if you can take the shaft out and bring it to me.

    Anyone know a good place or person around to get a CMC done? Gonna be going up and need to get it off my bucket list. I know apex overland could do it as I’ve had work done there before but trying to stay closer if possible. We need more quality off road shops in Raleigh.
