Does ECOR have more than one location, or am I thinking of a different shop that starts with Eastern Carolina or East Coast?

Any of you ladies or gents know of a rifle range that’s public that offers distances beyond 200 yards?

needing to practice for a western hunt before October and want to know my limits before flinging lead irresponsibly

Not that I know of. Most of the federally owned land near me is highly restrictive marsh land.

None of that on this end of the earth chunk, at least with the same 'if there's nothing saying not to' attitude.

Yea ive got a local range that goes out to 200. Im wanting to sling some lead out to 3-500 if there's a place within a reasonable distance. Just testing my limits so I know where I stand. Its been a decade since ive taken a shot over 200 and I want to make sure I can still do it so im not taking an unethical shot if the opportunity presents itself

I hear we should be practice walking on sloped surfaces. Maybe some Ninja warrior training would be good.

Honestly, yeah, I feel like aerobic fitness is the most overlooked thing for us southeasterners heading out west.

What are you shooting? 500 yards is quite the poke...

Assuming this is for elk, if I could hit a 6" circle consistently at 200-250 yards, I'd be satisfied, personally.

And then, obligatory comment about only shooting within the MPB range for your rifle (which is generally between 250-300 yards).

Oh man, just realized you're in Wilmington, hope you're doing some stadium climbs with a loaded pack or something, good luck dude.

We flatlanders get the triple whammy when heading out west: higher elevation, steep terrain, and much drier air than this soup we're used to down here.

I love non-soup air, and snow :alien:

My buddy is all about some MXC and told me they are bringing it or a show like it back. Definitely want to get out west more!

Oh, same, just saying you can really feel it out there. Granted, I'm thinking of Colorado which is a bit drier, but still.
