Power air tools. The newbs still get to use the ratchet and breaker bar though. The air compressor is like Kevins, oiled compressor.

honestly, if you have the big alternator ( or an upgrade) and suitable sized power inverter, that pump would be awesome. maybe have it on a gimbal mount of some sort to make it level before operation ( the Achilles heel of oil lube pumps ) or just make sure it's level ( i do ) that would do a lot of what you want to do and last quite a while doing it.

Mine is 12v, I need to run suitable power back to my tool box to run it where it sits. level won't be much of an issue for my junk, it's the kids model, 2wd it won't see the angles many of you will.

AS for air tool use, I use mostly blow gun and impact on my service van, occasionally an air drill, cut off tool, and air grinder/buffer, air ratchet is a pain to use in most cases, I've gone thru my share of air ratchets, enough to learn that unless you're in a production environment or have many of the same sized bolts ( trans pan/diff cover) they're more of an annoying convenience than useful. I use a 3/8" impact a lot, but you have to be careful and learn the feel to not break shit.

an impact ( 3/8" and 1/2" ) and PB Blaster, shock and run is best when removing rusty crap, sometimes you're just gonna break regardless.

Last fall when I pulled the heads on my Runner, the heat shields on the exhaust manifolds have to come off to access the manifold bolts, I did use an air ratchet on those, I broke one, the rest came right out.
a 3/8" impact comes in very handy, large enough to do the job, small enough to get places and not break shit right away

Look up Rigid Model 10 Screw extractor set ( $85-$100 ), works very well, though patience required. does not break as easily as regular EZ outs

I got an air ratchet last time I was at Harbor Freight, $20 with good reviews and plan to get their 1/2" earthquake impact as well. I've already got a set of 1/2" impact sockets.

the HF impact sockets are pretty good for the price, I've been eyeballing the Earth Quake, my IR 244 is 22yrs old and its time to retire it....it still works well but the anvil is pretty worn.
get metric and SAE, they're cheap enough you'll enjoy having both.

with the air ratchet, resist the urge to use it as a lever ( its easy to do ) you'll spread the head apart and it soon comes apart, keep it WELL oiled in the head and barrel ( between head and motor ) Marvel Mystery Oil works as well as any other air tool oil, smells good too....

I have an IR 111 air ratchet, it is " reaction less " which means it doesn't kick when tight or when trying to loosen, it's slow, but it works well, some what of an " impacting" air ratchet.

You'll learn what I mean by kick, it'll get you, even if you think you're expecting it.
